Are you suffering from the death of a loved one? Has this loss taken all the meaning out of your life? Does the Universe seem profoundly unfair to you?
Are you seriously ill and afraid of dying and losing your loved ones? Or is someone close to you in this situation and you’re afraid they’ll leave you for good?
Your feelings are legitimate
First of all, know that what you’re feeling is natural and legitimate. We all experience the same emotions, one day or another. I myself have lost loved ones in sometimes difficult circumstances. Like you, I’ve experienced the immense emptiness, suffering and sadness that overwhelm us at such painful moments.
In no way am I inviting you to stifle your emotions or suppress your thoughts. On the contrary, it’s essential that you welcome them and live them to the full. You have the “right” to suffer, to be deeply sad or to feel panic fear. These are deeply human emotions. They are even the mark of our humanity.
NDEs, a message of hope and peace
However, as you embrace your painful emotions, it’s important to know that stories of near-death experiences (NDEs) can bring you hope and peace. Indeed, these stories tell us that :
- Yes, there is life after life; death is just a passage, a transition from one state to another;
- In this life we experience infinite joy and happiness; it surpasses anything we have ever known on earth; Love is the very nature of this universe and permeates us to the very depths;
- The bond of love with our loved ones remains eternal, death changes nothing; this bond even deepens: wounds are healed, misunderstandings are lifted, resentments are covered by complete and unconditional forgiveness; relationships are infinitely deeper, they are heart to heart, soul to soul ;
A message also for our present life
What’s more, and perhaps more importantly, the message of NDEs is not limited to our life to come. NDEs also speak to us about our present lives. They tell us that love, given and received, is the only thing that counts in our lives. That’s all we’ll take with us. It is in this light that we will evaluate our lives. NDEs invite us to give priority to the quality of our relationships, even if we have little time left to live.
We can start, right now, to love ourselves unconditionally and others in the same way. This will give our lives a new and much happier meaning. People who have undergone an NDE bear witness to this in the sometimes radical changes they have made to their lives after their return. They invite us to do the same, without waiting to experience an NDE to do so
