Lorna Byrne is a fascinating person. Since childhood, she has been able to see and speak with angels, both her own and those of others. I know, it may sound a bit far-fetched, and I admit I was a bit skeptical at first. But two things made me change my mind and publish this article on her book “Les anges vous parlent”.
A life of love
The first point: Lorna Byrne’s life is marked by her love for others and her willingness to help those in need.
She helped, comforted, consoled and enlightened hundreds – perhaps thousands – of people through the messages she received from her angels and those she spoke to.
A life so deeply filled with Love and doing so much good around her can only be inspired by the Source of that Love.
Even if it takes a form that’s uncommon in our culture, that of connecting with our angels.
Lorna’s message is, in fact, identical to that of people who have experienced an IME: Love is the only thing that counts, and we are on Earth to learn to love and grow in wisdom.
A cheerful companion
The second point: piqued by curiosity, I’ve tried to contact the one Lorna calls my guardian angel, to ask for help in specific circumstances. In my opinion, the synchronicities that have arisen go beyond mere chance. What’s more, and even more decisive for me, I’m beginning to feel the inner joy of the presence of this loving, luminous and benevolent companion. I feel I’m only at the very beginning of this companionship, but it’s already giving me a great deal of happiness.
Without further ado, here are a few extracts from “Les Anges vous parlent”.
Whatever your behavior, your guardian angel loves you unconditionally and refrains from judging you. He doesn’t reproach you or criticize you. He does everything in his power – without crossing the line of your free will – to guide you and make your life easier.
Your guardian angel spreads the light of hope in your life. Everyone is loved. If you feel that no one loves and cares for you, you’re wrong. Your guardian angel is with you every moment of your life, and never stops pouring out his love on you.
Our guardian angel helps us to love ourselves more
One of the first things we all have to learn is to love ourselves more. Instead of seeing all your imperfections, see the beauty in yourself. Learn to see yourself as your guardian angel sees you. Allow yourself to recognize the gentleness, the compassion, the love you carry within. You may think you’re not good enough, not worthy enough to be loved, you may even think you’re hopeless. But no matter how you judge yourself, your guardian angel is proud of you. Your guardian angel is there, behind you, at every moment of your life.
It’s as if many human beings have forgotten how to love. Love is in all of us, but we’ve forgotten how to express it.
The immense power of Love
Never underestimate the transformative power of love. Love is capable of transforming human beings and changing the world for the better.
Our potential for love is limitless; we are all capable of giving and receiving unlimited love. Whether we realize it or not, we all aspire to love.
The precious gift of love lies deep within each of us. We all need to learn to grow this love so that we can help others with compassion. It doesn’t take much to start: a smile, a kind word, a hug. Unconditional love is in all of us, and if we give it a voice, it will fill our lives with hope and kindness.
People often stifle love, and this lack of love can manifest itself in many ways: taking pleasure or having fun at the expense of others, speaking ill of colleagues or spreading false rumors, constantly judging or criticizing your partner, getting angry or upset with your neighbors… It’s not always intentional; it can be a habit, or a behavior specific to the people around you that you reproduce unknowingly. So try to identify this behavior within yourself, to recognize the moments when you fail to express your love or compassion. This will help you next time.
You are loved unconditionally
Remember: you are loved unconditionally. Ask your guardian angel to help you feel his love, and to awaken the love that lies deep within you. Ask him/her to help you perceive the abundance of love in the people around you, and to pay attention to the different expressions of that love.
The angels who accompany me every day tell me that most human beings have their priorities wrong. We think our lives should be all about doing, being busy and being successful. Many of us attach great importance to money and material things. Of course, it’s necessary to have enough money, but let’s not exaggerate its importance. The angels tell me to remind you that when you die, you won’t be able to take any money or valuables with you to the kingdom of God.
Love is the most important thing in our lives
What you take with you are your memories and all the love you’ve experienced on this Earth. Sometimes we’re so busy that we forget to live and enjoy the little pleasures of everyday life. We want to fill our lives with so many things that we forget what’s essential. I often see angels trying to help people slow down and enjoy life more fully.
Most of our lives are made up of small, ordinary, everyday things. By ignoring or denigrating them, we miss out on what’s really important in our lives. Whether we realize it or not, big things are made up of lots of little things.
I don’t like the question: “What is my destiny? As if existence revolved around a single life goal or a few great missions. God and the angels have made me realize that everyone’s destiny is to live life to the full. This means living every minute of every day as fully as possible, trying to be aware of every moment and, even better, enjoying them all. Life is here and now, not yesterday or tomorrow. Life is a precious gift from God. God wants you to live it to the full and enjoy it to the full.
Slow down to see the beauty around you
By paying attention to the beauty around you, you’ll appreciate life more and recognize your inner beauty more. Because appreciating beauty helps you slow down. The more you notice its presence, the more you’ll realize that it’s everywhere, or at least more abundant than you thought. Most of the time, we’re so lost in our own thoughts that we don’t notice it. And recognizing the beauty that surrounds us also helps us to take care of our environment.
The most important things in our lives are our relationships – from the once-in-a-lifetime people we smile at on the street to our nearest and dearest, our friends, our children or our loved ones. Human relationships are priceless. They are so much more important than material possessions, and all too often we take them for granted.
Prayer for difficult times
Lorna offers a “Prayer for Difficult Times”, handed down to her by the angels: “God, pour out the grace of hope upon me, and allow me always to see the light of hope shining intensely before me. Illuminate the darkness by filling me with faith and hope, and allowing me to receive the comfort of your love. Give me the courage and strength to know that I will overcome these difficult times. Fill me with the joy and confidence of knowing that I am your child and that you will take care of me and my loved ones. Hear my prayer. Amen.
I also know that one of the reasons people are afraid to die is because they’re worried about their loved ones left behind on Earth – they feel they’re abandoning them. But when you die, you’ll realize that you can do much more for them in Heaven than you can on Earth.
Death does not part us
I know it’s hard to understand. But when a soul has ascended to Heaven, it can intercede with God to help loved ones with far greater effectiveness and power than when it lived on Earth.
Once you’re in Heaven, you have the opportunity to be in spiritual communion with your family whenever your loved ones need it. The guardian angels of your family members and loved ones allow your soul to surround your loved ones when they need comfort, encouragement or physical support. Or simply when it’s important for them to know that all is well with you. You’ll still be in Heaven, but for those few moments, you’ll be with them too. In some cases, they’ll even feel your presence and love, which will reassure them. From time to time, you can also send them comforting signs or messages with the help of the angels.
When you die, you won’t want to return to Earth, not even for your loved ones. However much they grieve, you know they must go on without you. I know this from experience, from my two near-death experiences.
And knowing that you’ll be reunited with your loved ones in Heaven is a comfort to everyone – to those who die, as well as to those who remain and must mourn. When their time comes to ascend to Heaven, you’ll all be together again. God and the angels told me this when I was a little girl – everyone will meet up there in the end. We must never forget that.
There is no divine judgment
I’ve met many people of all religions whose greatest fear was that of divine judgment – at the moment of death, they feared that God would judge that they hadn’t done enough good in their lives. I’ve met others who told me they didn’t believe in God, but feared that there was one, after all, who would deny them access to Paradise. But I’ve never seen anything other than a soul going straight to Heaven.
God has infinite compassion; to be honest, I can’t find the words to express it. He is Our Father and he wants us all in Heaven. No matter what we’ve done, he wants us in Heaven.
Forgive to set yourself free
We should show greater compassion to ourselves and others, and forgive more – to ourselves and to others. Throughout our lives, we should all be ready to ask forgiveness of God and of the people we have wronged. We’re all human, we all make mistakes, and none of us is perfect. Likewise, we should all forgive more easily.
Forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting the wrong done to you, or turning the other cheek and exposing yourself to new inner wounds without protecting yourself. But forgiveness sets you free. Forgiving ourselves is important for establishing peace within ourselves and enabling us to show greater kindness to those around us. It’s important all the time, but especially when we’re approaching death. By forgiving yourself, you forgive everyone around you.
The beauty of the soul is incomparable
Every day, I see angels physically, and they’re very beautiful. But you have a soul, far more beautiful than any angel. We are all children of God, regardless of our religion or beliefs. God loves us so much that he has given us a fragment of himself. This divine spark is our soul.
From time to time, I have the privilege of seeing a human soul. When I do, it takes my breath away, because souls are incredibly beautiful. To be honest, I think they’re indescribable, and I search for words to describe their beauty to you. The light of a soul is perfect, pure and transparent as crystal. No light on earth can match its light, not even the brilliance of the biggest, brightest diamond, because the soul receives its light from God. Your soul occupies every atom of your body. Not a single part of your body is not illuminated by its light. It’s hard to explain: your soul is so tiny and so enormous at the same time. It is an incomparably beautiful fragment of divine light.
Angels like to surround us because we have souls. When they’re with us – however imperfectly we judge ourselves – they’re in the presence of divine light. We are God.
If everyone could perceive the beauty of the human soul, there would be no hatred, homicide or war on earth. Every time I see someone’s soul, I’m overcome with love. This love can conquer hate, provided we let it.
The key to love
Often, the key to letting love conquer hate is having the courage to take the first step. You are much stronger than you think – the power of love inside you is immense. The person who allows love to overcome hate is not weak. In fact, he or she is very strong and a beacon of hope for all mankind.
We all have the potential to develop our spiritual awareness and openness. This potential is a gift from God, but many people close up, frightened, as soon as we broach the subject. It takes courage to admit that God exists, that you have a soul and a guardian angel to protect that soul.
I know from experience that it takes courage. Until I was 55, I was very reluctant to talk about what I saw and heard, and in fact, I hardly spoke to anyone about it. I was afraid of being ridiculed, of being laughed at, of being told I was crazy. I always say that I didn’t choose the moment when I started talking about all this, that it was God who chose it. And if God chose this moment, it’s because He wants to see us accelerate our spiritual evolution.
Growing in wisdom and love
A multitude of things can help us to open up spiritually, to raise our level of consciousness. I’ve mentioned several of them in this book. Prayer, in particular. Becoming more aware of the divine presence, recognizing that we are more than just our body – that we also have a soul. Believing in angels, and asking for their help, makes us more receptive or sensitive to God’s message, and brings us closer to him. Likewise, becoming more aware of and appreciative of the little things in everyday life lifts us spiritually, as does spending more time in nature, silence or meditation.
Fear is one of the obstacles to our spiritual evolution. Giving too much importance to material possessions, making money the mainstay of our lives and constantly running out of time and never pressing the “pause” button are others. If we leave no room in our lives for inner calm and serenity, even from time to time, it’s very difficult to hear the voice of God and the angels.
A vision of paradise on Earth
As I sat at the kitchen table wondering what I was going to write in this final chapter, the angel Michel came to take my hand and give me a vision. I was at the top of a hill, and before my eyes was a vast landscape. Below, I saw thousands of people – men, women and children of all ages – forming a great circle. From their appearance and clothing, I could tell that all these people belonged to different nationalities and religions. The place was full of angels, and as I watched them, it became clear to me that the crowd was also able to see and speak to them. In addition to guardian angels and other types of angels, I saw many angels of prayer ascending into the sky towards Paradise.
All those people at the bottom of the hill were praying. They were praying aloud. It was as if they spoke different languages, but all their prayers were part of one great prayer. The hum of their voices reached my ears.
They were totally absorbed in their prayer and happy to pray. The place radiated incredible peace and an intense light that seemed to spring from the depths of the Earth. The people were radiant – I’d never seen humans so radiant. They seemed perfect, brimming with life and energy, even the older ones, and not one of them looked handicapped or ill.
An immense circle of light
From my vantage point, I could see a circle of light around this gathering and, outside the circle, green hills. Everything seemed much more alive, much more vibrant, than in our world today. This vision gradually faded and I found myself at the kitchen table with Angel Michael.
“I would have loved to stay in this landscape, watching all these people. Can’t I go back?” I asked Angel Michael. He smiled at me, shaking his head. “It was as if I glimpsed Paradise, but I know it was Earth, not Paradise.” Angel Michael replied: “This is humanity’s future, if it chooses it. If it makes the right decisions and rises spiritually.
