The lesson of NDEs: Love is the only thing that matters

The lessons of near-death experiences are not just for experiencers. They are given to them so that they can pass them on to others.

Kenneth Ring, one of the pioneers in the study of NDEs, wrote the book“Lessons from the Light” to encourage us to follow the wisdom of NDEs. Because it invites us to change ourselves and the world. Here are a few of my favorites.

Change isn’t easy, and changing a lot without a lot of social support is even harder. If you want to enjoy the benefits of an NDE, you’ll have to work to overcome any resistance you encounter.

NDEs, a subversive phenomenon

The NDE is in itself a subversive phenomenon since it challenges the materialist illusion. Swim long in the current of NDEs and you’ll encounter powerful opposing forces. Prepare for them and seek shelter if necessary.

“Every time a person receives unconditional love, whatever the source – a person or the Light – it causes a purging of the “energy of non-love” or the energy of self-hatred in that person’s consciousness.”

“Feeling this pure energy for even a moment, any living human being would fall to his knees and begin to sob deeply, in unbridled, uninhibited joy at the perfection of the universe”.

Doing what we love

Change doesn’t mean flogging ourselves three times a day. On the contrary, we are invited to do what we love. As one experimenter puts it: “Our ‘mission’ is programmed at birth, and it’s the thing or things we love most. The Light explained to me that doing what I love is the mostselflessand constructive thingI can do for the world. In fact, it’s the energy that’s been allocated to me, and it’s by using it that I’ll be the happiest and be able to give happiness to those around me”.

The Light tells us that we have a unique gift, an offering to make to the world. Our happiness, and that of the world, is served when we live in such a way as to realize this gift, which is nothing other than our purpose in life.

It’s as if the Light wants everyone to become the self they were originally meant to be. When we act from this love, we realize our true self, which is created every day through authentic behavior. This is what is meant by “following your love”.

Do you follow your love?

Do you follow your love? Or have you lost sight of it in your daily life? Please take the time to think about it.

If you feel your life has gone astray, you don’t need an NDE to get it back on track. But you can learn from those who have, and start to steer it in the right direction again.

We all have a source of inner guidance which, once discovered, can serve us in the same way it serves the experiencer.

The unlimited Light, which is the source of all love in the world, loves each and every one of us equally and infinitely. This love exists for each and every one of us, and once you open up to it, it will lead you to yourself, to your true self.

What to do?

One of my students said to a NDEr : “I’d love to have an experience like that! But how do I do it?” Barely pausing, she replied, “love others”. Nothing could be simpler, and nothing truer.

One of the striking aspects of life reviews is that there is no longer any difference between you and others. You realize that whatever you do to others, you do to yourself. And that others are a part of you. As you know, we’re totally interconnected.

“The biggest thing I’ve learned from dying is that we’re all part of a big, huge, living universe. If we think we can hurt someone or some other living thing without hurting ourselves, we’re sorely mistaken.

Life review could change the world

I’d like everyone to be able to live a life review. That would change everything. There would be no more conflict, no more chaos, no more war, no more greed. Everyone would understand everyone. The life review is the most effective and important learning tool.

The presence of the Light helps you to review your life. She accompanies you with the greatest and most tender compassion, the most infinite love, and sometimes even humor. You’re not being punished, you’re being taught.

What’s more, life review is not just about learning. It’s also healing: it allows us to forgive ourselves. “It was truly a total healing of all my wounds. And at the end of this life review, I felt like I wanted to live again.

An exercise everyone can do is to take back difficult events from their day. And to ask ourselves, in the light of the life review: how could I have spoken or acted?

The most important thing is to love

Love is the essential teaching in the world. Of all the lessons of the IMEs, the greatest is that of the absolute primacy of love.

What NDEs teach us is that love is everything. That everything is made of love, that everything comes from love and that everything goes towards love. And since we are part of this universe, love is our true nature.

The NDEs teach us to return to love. They tell us that what we need is to return to the arms of that love. It’s that love that can change our lives and the world. And one of the main things love frees us from is the prison of judgments we make about ourselves and others.

NDEs can help us trust our inner light and do what we really want to do. To create, to love. To give love to those around us.

We are loved in unlimited ways. With incredible compassion. Judgment kills, love heals.

Light itself is only love, and it never judges.

The Light gives you direction

The Light directs you, showing you the way to your essential Being. It’s not something external to you, it’s your deepest Being. When you immerse yourself in this light, you simply have love and compassion for yourself and for everyone else. And you can let go of all judgments. When judgments fall away, there’s just acceptance of all that is. This is what we call love.

In reality, the root of all our ills is fear and the inability to love ourselves unconditionally. Yet that’s how the Light loves us. Turning to the light and receiving its love heals us.
